WWE will produce their annual Capitol Punishment on June 19, 2011 and this will be hosted at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C. This is the first time it will be held after it has been introduced to replace the WWE Fatal 4-way themed event.

The WWE Capitol Punishment promotional video has come in for a lot of panning after it showed the USA President acting as a referee in a fight between John Cena and Rey Mysterio.

Cena will fight R-Truth for the WWE Championships in the singles match while The Miz takes on Alex Riley. Randy Orton will fight Christian in a Singles match for the World Heavyweight Championship while there will be fights between Wade Barrett and Ezekiel Jackson, Big Show vs. Alberto Del Rio and CM Punk vs. Rey Mysterio. In the last fight of the night, the Singles Match for the WWE United States Championship will see Kofi Kingston fight it out with Dolph Ziggler.
